This project is an album cover design created for an instrumental song, based on interpreting the song’s mood and atmosphere. The final design uses a sunset beach theme, to reflect a calm, serene feeling with hints of nostalgia and objects scattered across the sand that hold significance to the feeling. It was created primarily in Adobe Photoshop using photo compositing techniques, with one decorative vector element added from Adobe Illustrator. The purpose of this project was to practice visual interpretation of music and to develop skills in combining separate images into a cohesive, unified composition.
